About the Role

We’re hiring an Asphalt Quality Control Technician to conduct asphalt testing, ensure material quality, document results, and support compliance with state and project specifications.
This is a full‑time, seasonal position.


What You’ll Do

  • Collect and test asphalt samples according to required standards
  • Ensure all asphalt products meet internal and external quality requirements
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of all test results
  • Notify Quality Control Management when quality issues arise
  • Submit required project documentation to state agencies
  • Maintain professional communication with state representatives
  • Adhere to all company safety protocols and policies
  • Perform additional tasks or special assignments as directed by management

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, and up to 100 pounds with assistance
  • Ability to climb and descend ladders and work in various weather conditions
  • Prolonged periods of sitting and standing
  • Ability to operate a vehicle and travel to job sites as needed

What You Bring

  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
  • Knowledge of ODOT Aggregate Levels 1, 2, and 3 is highly preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure
  • Strong mathematical skills, including weights and measurements
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Prior construction or manufacturing quality control experience preferred
