Farrell Roofing, a national commercial roofing company with a location in Dunkirk, NY is looking for a Roofing Foreman to lead a service crew.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

• Lead a crew to repair roofs efficiently and safely
  • Providing regular coaching, training, evaluation and feedback
  • Influence crew to work safely and be disciplined and efficient
  • Examine roof and penetrations to to determine cause of roof system failure
  • Perform repair duties as necessary
• Meet production and quality goals
  
  • Manage work flow of crew to complete work orders and jobs on time, striking an appropriate balance between speed and quality
  • Solve field application problems with a minimum amount of supervision
  • Ensure accurate record keeping of material and labor usage on each work order and job in FCS
• Manage job sites, equipment and materials
  • Maintain a jobsite that complies with all safety guidelines
  • Enforce safety regulations with everyone on a job site, including visitors and customers
  • Inspect safety equipment and PPE before use each day
  • Ensure roofs are safe and watertight at the end of each day, materials and equipment are stored safely and a fire watch is in place if necessary
• Exhibit exemplary responsiveness and personal leadership with all field and office personnel
  • Communicate regularly with supervisor
  • Supervise crew time sheets
  • Record work performed daily

Desired Skills and Experience:

• • Experience using FCS software preferred.
  • Commercial roofing experience required, foreman experience preferred.
  • OSHA 10 or 30 Hour preferred

Employment Requirements:

• • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Commercial roofing experience required, foreman experience preferred.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Experience with FCS or other property maintenance software preferred.

Physical and Mental Requirements: 

• • Must be able to work at heights.
  • Regular lifting up to 75 lbs.
  • Must understand general arithmetic and read and write English at a high school level.
  • Must be able to perform coordinated movements of the limbs including walking, turning, stooping, reaching, carrying, stepping over and around obstacles, and climbing ladders and scaffolding.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, or kneel for extended periods of time.

Work Environment:

• • Work is conducted in a construction environment.  The occupant of this role will be required to be primarily outdoors and will be working in and around potentially dangerous construction equipment and materials.
