Aspro, Inc. was founded in July 1973 with the purchase of an asphalt plant and a sand and gravel deposit from Waterloo Dredging Company.
In its first five years of operation, Aspro, Inc. was strictly a producer of asphalt, sand and gravel. In 1978, asphalt paving construction crews
were added which accelerated growth even more. Today, Aspro operates two asphalt plants in the Waterloo area and offers asphalt paving,
general road and street construction as well as commercial parking lot construction in the Waterloo/Cedar Falls area and the surrounding counties.
Job Description:
Truck driver/Dump & pup
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Ability to maintain the mechanical features of the truck and to inform supervisor of any mechanical failure or need for maintenance
- Ability to complete pre-trip inspections on vehicles to ensure that all D.O.T standards are met (i.e. air brakes, oil, water, tire inflation, proper lighting, permits, safety kit,)
- Ability to operate a dump truck with or without a pup trailer to transport and dump loose materials such as sand, gravel and asphalt products between plants and job sites.
Qualifications:
- Commercial driver's license (CDL) Class A or B with Air Brakes Required
- Insure that all loads hauled are within the legal weight limits- Required
- Must follow all traffic regulations and operate vehicle in a safe and lawful manner
- Must be able to manage and coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously
- A valid drivers license and an acceptable driving record
- Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.
