
Tripp County is seeking a full-time Deputy Auditor. The Deputy Auditor is responsible for performing a variety of clerical, fiscal and supervisory work in maintaining records that are filed with the Auditor’s Office.
What you'll get to do!
- Perform duties assigned by the Auditor
- Serves the public at the counter in a friendly manor, answers many calls and directs them to the other offices
- Prepare warrants
- Prepare payroll and other authorized payments.
- Prepare periodic reports
- Register voters, Absentee Voting, Total Vote, send verification letters, felony notices, etc.
- Help prepare Elections, order and bundle ballots, election workers, schooling, etc.
- Post Property Tax and Cash Collections daily
- Prepare budget and expenditure reports for all departments
- Conduct end of Month Processing and balance with Treasurer
- File Liens and take payments from Clerk of Courts, receipt into lien books, etc.
- Order and Sell Plat Maps
- Balance Bank Statements
- Balance with Treasurer daily
- Attend commissioner meetings when needed
- Serves as Chief of Finances for EM if disaster happens
- Conduct AAA Collections
- Prepare and submit End of Year Reports
- Conduct inventory
- Prepare Indemnity Bonds
- Assumes the responsibility for the operation of the office in the Auditor’s absence
What we're looking for!
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Ability to type and perform mathematical calculations in an efficient manner
- Ability to operate office equipment including a computer keyboard
