Job Summary: The Construction Trainee / Apprentice supports skilled tradespeople on construction sites while learning various aspects of the construction trade. This entry-level position provides hands-on experience in tasks such as site preparation, material handling, basic tool use, and equipment operation. The apprentice will gain knowledge in construction techniques, workplace safety, and industry standards, with opportunities to grow into a skilled trade or leadership role.  There are both training hour requirements and on-the-job hour requirements that you will be expected to meet to move through and graduate from apprenticeship program.

Other Requirements: All candidates are required to pass a thorough Background Check, Physical and Drug Test.  References may also be checked. We participate in E-Verify.

Job Duties & Requirements:

  • Assist with site preparation, clean-up, and material staging.
  • Load and unload tools, materials, and equipment.
  • Follow instructions from supervisors and skilled crew members.
  • Operate basic hand and power tools safely and responsibly.

  • Perform general labor tasks such as lifting, carrying, digging, and measuring.
  • Help maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Support a variety of construction activities depending on project needs.
  • Attend training sessions or classes as required by apprenticeship program.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Strong interest in construction or skilled trades.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform manual labor in all weather conditions.
  • Willingness to learn, take direction, and work as part of a team.
  • Reliable transportation to job sites.
  • Must be punctual and dependable.
  • Strong team player
  • Reliable and on-time.
