Licensed Fire Sprinkler Inspector
The Sprinkler Inspector is responsible for performing scheduled inspections in both residential and commercial spaces. Knowledge of multiple manufacturer’s products is a plus. Duties also include testing and inspection of backflows, fire pumps, extinguishers and emergency lighting. We have a need for a self-motivated, customer service-oriented Inspector with strong written and verbal communication skills. The Inspector will provide accurate and detailed inspections reports with all proper documentation of improvements and complications.
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years of experience in the fire protection industry or license for fire extinguishing systems
- Possess an understanding of NFPA and building and fire codes
- Willing to communicate effectively; both verbally and written
- Possess a valid driver’s license; in accordance with Company policy
- Willing to pass a post-offer drug test and background check
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs with or without reasonable accommodation
- Regular bending, reaching, climbing and walking
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for operating with minimal supervision while performing fire protection inspections
- Perform routine inspections, testing and services of life safety product lines
- Daily communications with Project Manager and/or Schedule Coordinator on inspection or project delays, requirements and general status of job
- Document time worked as well as all paperwork relating to assigned tasks in a timely manner
- Work with Project Manager, Schedule Coordinator and Office Administrative Staff to ensure complete closeout and turnover of jobs to the client (Confirm that work is completed so it can be billed in full)
