The Petroleum Commercial Accounts Manager’s primary responsibility is to build and maintain strong relationships with key clients throughout the state of Michigan, Northern Indiana and Northwestern Ohio. Develop a strategic sales plan to achieve revenue growth while ensuring high customer satisfaction levels; this involves managing negotiations, analyzing sales data, and coordinating with internal teams to meet customer needs.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and maintain strong relationships with our existing commercial customer base.
- Engage in outbound cold calling to prospective customers to generate new business opportunities and drive sales growth.
- Meet monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
- Participate in weekly, monthly, quarterly internal team calls.
- Travel to customer sites to meet with key personnel to discuss project details and gather the information necessary to quote their project.
- Work closely with our Project and Service Managers to develop accurate scopes of work and proposals to be presented to our customers.
- Enter all quotes into our CRM system and update as necessary.
- Present proposals to customers and stay in contact with them to answer any questions and to earn their business.
- Follow up on all projects through completion and obtain change orders as necessary.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Deep understanding of the commercial petroleum equipment industry, market dynamics, and competitive landscape.
- Ability to remain current with technology within the industry.
- Strong project management skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop strategic sales plans.
- Proven track record of success in managing complex projects.
- Strong sales skills including negotiation, presentation, and closing techniques
- Experience with CRM systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and team management skills.
