GENERAL PURPOSE:

 

To collect precise land measurements and data using advanced surveying technology to accurately establish property boundaries, create topographic maps, and support construction projects by providing detailed site information, all while adhering to surveying standards and safety protocols

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Must have a high school education or Graduate Equivalent Diploma (G.E.D.), or the combined equivalent of education and directly related field experience.

 

  • Must have ability to operate or learn to use Trimble GPS Rovers/ Base Stations, Total Stations (Siteworks), and machine control systems (GCS900/Earthworks) so you have the knowledge for the operation of Survey drones and processing aerial data.

 

 

  • Must be detail orientated to ensure data accuracy and quality standards are met.

 

  • Must be able to perform job duties in varying work environments and extreme climate conditions, i.e., hot or cold temperatures.

 

  • Must have completed regularly attend training, safety, diversity, etc., whether in-house or external training programs.

 

  • Must work with or learn Trimble Business Center and AutoCAD Civil 3D for drafting, modeling, and data processing. Use or become familiar with Trimble WorksManager, Propeller, and project collaboration tools like Bluebeam and Procore.

 

  • Must read and interpret construction plans effectively to create accurate models and layouts. Proactively identify and communicate potential issues in plans that could impact field operations.

 

  • Must be able to relate positively and favorably to general contractors or subcontractors and company employees, both in person and on the telephone, and to work cooperatively with other employees.

 

 

 

  • Must be willing to travel as needed to collaborate with teams, complete job site setups, and support ongoing site management.

 

 

  • Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance.

 

  • Must have a valid drivers’ license.

 

  • Must be capable of performing the Essential Job Functions of this job, with or without reasonable accommodation.

 

 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

 

Managing data transfers and workflows between field and office teams. Ensuring data is collected and documented effectively including Utility AS-BUILTS, Soil corrections, field design-builds, and other tasks as needed to assist in project development, and closeouts. Effectively communicate survey requirements needed to perform Bolander’s scope of work, while advocating when to outsource/avoid taking on unnecessary roles. Self-motivate and manage time efficiently in a constantly changing environment. Be willing to work with and train team members on equipment and processes. Support teams by solving technical issues and sharing clear, practical instructions. Develop confidence in troubleshooting technical issues on-site and supporting field teams.
