T.E.M. Group Inc. is seeking a strategic, experienced, and tech-forward Controller or CFO to lead the financial health of our growing electrical contracting company. This is a mission-critical leadership role that blends high-level financial oversight with hands-on operational accounting in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
With a workforce of ~70 and dozens of active projects, this individual will own all accounting operations while guiding financial strategy, compliance, and leadership development across the finance team.
Why Join T.E.M. Group?
At T.E.M. Group Inc., we build careers, not just jobs. As a family-owned, employee-driven electrical contracting company, we believe in hard work, teamwork, and continuous improvement. We take pride in tackling the toughest, most complex industrial electrical projects in Kentucky, and it’s our highly skilled and dedicated team that drives our success.
We take our work seriously — but not ourselves too seriously. We foster a fun, collaborative work environment where problem-solving, innovation, and mutual respect are at the core of what we do.
If you’re looking for a company where you can make an immediate impact and shape the financial future of both the business and your own career, this is the place for you.
The Role & Growth Potential:
This is a senior leadership role that owns all accounting and financial functions. The right candidate will bring strong technical experience, integrity, and strategic thinking.
You won’t be stepping into this alone — alongside our management team, you’ll be mentored and supported by our former CFO, who led the company’s financial operations for over 12 years and remains on board as a consultant. This ensures a smooth transition, detailed training, and access to deep institutional knowledge.
If you don’t already have CFO-level experience, this role could evolve into a more formal CFO title if leadership, systems thinking, and value-creation for the business over time are demonstrated over time.
