Position

Mid-Continental Restoration Co., Inc. is accepting resumes for a Senior Accountant to work from our corporate office in Ft. Scott, KS. This position reports directly to the CFO. 

Applicant Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in accounting or related field

2-4 years of progressive accounting experience, 5+ years preferred

Experience with AR, AP, PR, FA, GL

Proficient with Microsoft Office applications

Advanced Excel skills required

SQL knowledge a plus

Sage Timberline software experience a plus

Construction accounting experience a plus

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Aptitude for critical analysis and creative problem solving

Job Duties / Functions

Assist with month-end closing process

Regular analysis and reconciliations of various accounts including cash, suspense, payroll, and receivables

Provide back up and assistance as required to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Cash Management, and other areas. 

Maintain detailed capital asset and depreciation schedules

Update and file personal property and property taxes for multiple jurisdictions

Create and distribute job cost reports

Organize, oversee and/or assist with various annual audits

Other duties as required
