Pay Type / Range:

Union Journeyman Scale.  $ $42.77 – 44.00 per hour (based on union, experience, and type of work).

(This pay range is a good-faith estimate of compensation for this role.)

 

If little to no experience, an Apprenticeship route may be offered, which has hourly rates starting between $29.94 - $35.20 (based on union, experience, and type of work).

Job Summary: The Water Truck Driver is responsible for safely operating a water truck to support dust control, compaction, and other site needs at construction or industrial job sites. This role requires strict adherence to safety protocols, vehicle maintenance standards, and effective communication with site supervisors and crew members.

 

Other Requirements: All candidates are required to pass a thorough Background Check, Physical and Drug Test.  References may also be checked. We participate in E-Verify.

 

Job Duties & Requirements:

  • Operate a water truck safely and efficiently on construction sites and public roads.
  • Spray water to control dust on roads, construction areas, and other designated locations.
  • Fill, transport, and distribute water as needed for soil compaction and other site requirements.
  • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
  • Monitor water levels and refill as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate logs of work performed and water usage.
  • Communicate effectively with site supervisors and other team members.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.

 

Preferred Education and Experience:

 

  • CDL Class A with tanker endorsement.
  • Minimum of 2 years CDL Driving Experience.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Can follow directions without constant oversight.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Able to drive a Manual Transmission.
  • Knowledge of the Twin Cities and surrounding areas.
  • Ability to work extended hours and in varying weather conditions.
