JOB PURPOSE / SUMMARY
The Accounts Receivable Associate supports the accounts receivable department by assisting with the billing process, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, and helping the company receive payment for goods and services. This role plays a critical part in maintaining positive customer relationships and supporting company cash flow.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare, post, verifies, and record customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.
- Create and submit invoices to customers in accordance with company practices and policies.
- Maintain and update customer records, including changes to contact information, mergers, and special mailing requirements.
- Draft and send correspondence for standard past-due accounts, identify and follow up with delinquent accounts contacting accountholders to request payment.
- Generate regular and ad-hoc reports regarding the status of customer accounts, collections, and outstanding balances.
- Assist the Director of Administration with monthly revenue account reconciliation.
- Organize and maintain files by copying, filing, and retrieving accounts receivable materials as required.
- Support compliance activities by gathering required accounts receivable files and reports for periodic SOX audits and ensuring all documentation meets established standards.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred.
- 3 - 5 years of experience in accounts receivable or a related accounting field.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Salery Range: $47,800 - $56,000
