About the Role:

Growing, full-service provider of HVAC equipment and controls provider is seeking an experienced and technically proficient Senior DDC Programmer / Engineer to join a growing Building Automation team. In this role, you will demonstrate full technical competence in DDC systems, providing expert-level support, leadership, and mentorship. This position involves proactive customer interaction, project development, team coordination, and integration with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure high-quality execution of Building Automation System (BAS) projects.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Engineering to design and develop project control drawings
  • Program controllers and devices for Building Automation System (BAS) projects
  • Commission and verify full operation of BAS sequences and components
  • Configure, test, and validate system inputs, outputs, alarms, history, and archives
  • Develop site-specific graphics and provide training to end users
  • Mentor and support DDC technicians and installers on technical execution
  • Integrate and program third-party building systems using open protocols
  • Modify programming software for multiple controls manufacturers
  • Read, interpret, and apply mechanical and control drawings and sequences of operation
  • Produce accurate as-built documentation for the engineering team
  • Troubleshoot, set up, and maintain BAS networks and job site workstations

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, HVAC, or related field (or 5+ years equivalent experience)
  • 5–7 years of progressively responsible DDC/HVAC experience, including independent system programming
  • Proficient in BACnet system design, including BACnet IP/Ethernet and MS/TP networks
  • Strong independent decision-making and job site coordination abilities
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Hands-on experience with servers, workstations, Microsoft Office Suite, and IP LAN/WAN environments
  • Full-system programming knowledge of air-side and water-side systems
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment with minimal supervision
  • Familiarity with various BAS platforms
  • Niagara AX/N4 certifications strongly desired
  • Willingness to travel, though not required.
  • Ability to pass standard drug tests
  • Valid driver’s license
