Outside Sales Representative - Fire Alarm Monitoring Systems
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Outside Sales Representative to drive new business development and account management for our low-voltage product line, including fire alarm systems, and related services. The ideal candidate will focus on sales opportunities in various sectors such as healthcare, education, commercial and municipal markets.
Job Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities while supporting and expanding the existing client base
- Manage the full sales cycle—from lead generation to bid submission and proposal presentations
- Sell a complete range of alarm monitoring systems and services, including Cellular and AES wireless monitoring solutions
- Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate sales efforts and meet company sales objectives
- Meet or exceed assigned sales targets and support overall company order goals
- Execute sales plans and strategies aligned with company goals to maximize opportunities
- Contribute to a team-oriented culture focused on delivering exceptional customer value and innovative solutions
Job Qualifications
- Strong persuasion and closing skills are crucial for securing deals.
- Knowledge of alarm monitoring systems, products, and services is preferred
- Managing a territory, scheduling appointments, and prioritizing tasks efficiently is key for success.
- Strong listening, communication, and presentation skills
- Demonstrated success in business development and client acquisition
- Proficient in CRM, Microsoft Word, Excel, and other common business applications
- Minimum of 5 years of proven success in commercial sales with a demonstrated ability to consistently meet or exceed targets
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug test, background check, and reference screening
