At Viking Fire Protection Group, we place trust in our team, and you will experience this supportive environment when working with us. VFPG in Lexington, KY is looking to add a season Fire Sprinkler Service Technician to support our growing business.
Responsibilities as a Fire Sprinkler Service Technician:
- Modifying and Installing overhead sprinkler piping.
- Modifying, servicing existing valves, devices, and trim as well as installing new where required
- Fabricate, assemble, install, and maintain piping, and equipment.
- Attach pipes to walls, structures, and fixtures using brackets, clamps, tools, or welding equipment.
- Inspect and test installed systems and pipelines using pressure gauges, hydrostatic testing, observation, or other methods.
- Plan installations or repairs according to the conditions encountered.
Requirements:
- Willing to become a member or already a member of UA 669
- Previously completed a 5 year UA 669 apprenticeship program or equivalent
- Be in good standings with UA 669
- Minimum 5+ years of work experience specifically in a service role
- Ability to work an unpredictable and ever-changing work schedule
- Valid driver’s license
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Strong mechanical background preferred
Working Environment:

- Ability to coordinate and work well with others
- Proven ability and track record of performing work in a timely manner and meeting deadlines
- Ability to lift up to at least 50 pounds
- Ability to climb ladders
Pay/Benefits:
