Elite Surface Infrastructure (ESI) is a growing company located in Englewood Colorado and has been working along the Colorado front range since 1998. ESI is one of the largest construction companies in Colorado that self-performs a variety of services including Underground Utilities, Milling, Asphalt, Paving, Grading, Concrete, and Earthwork for Infrastructure and Infrastructure Improvement Projects in the commercial, municipal, and federal sectors.
POSITION SUMMARY
Help maintain and fuel equipment, operate plate compactors, backpack blower, shovel and rake asphalt mats as well as clean up rubble, debris and other waste materials. Emphasis to detail shall include, but not limited to, where each asphalt lift relates to existing asphalt, curb, inlets, manholes, valves, joints and other fixed structures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Adhere to all company safety requirements, procedures and policies along with OSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment.
- When working with co-workers, constant eye contact will be maintained when backing equipment, communicating using hand signals or other movements.
- Follow direction of supervisor as to daily task and expectations for each specific project or jobsite.
- Performing general physical activities. Performing physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving your whole body such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, and handling and moving of materials.
- Handling and moving objects – using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials and manipulating objects.
- Operate plate compactors, backpack blower, and walk behind asphalt saw.
- Assists paving crews with various duties such as: rake/shovel, spread and level dirt and gravel.
- Secure, maintain and clean tools at the job site to eliminate potential hazards.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
Experience: Preferred up to 6 months, but none required.
Requirements: Valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass a background investigation, and drug screening.
