What You’ll Do as a Techical Manager:

  • Serve as technical strategist for civil engineering and technical specialties for a given land/site development, water resources, or survey related project.
  • Provide technical leadership by developing and refining technical processes and methodologies.
  • Advance technical capabilities by developing and mentoring staff through facilitating knowledge transfer and advanced technical learning.
  • Manages team members to include task delegation, conducting/participation in staff reviews, and other supervisory related tasks.
  • Actively participate in the organization’s QA/QC processes by conducting thorough technical reviews of engineering deliverables and mentoring staff in quality standards and procedures.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Civil Engineering or equivalent discipline from a four-year college or university and civil engineering design experience of at least 6 years.
  • At least 3 years of experience serving as the central design figure, mentor to employees, and lead for overseeing technical aspects of projects.
  • Excellent decision-making, communication, leadership, technical skills, and ability to manage a land development project from start to finish (entitlements through construction support).
  • EIT certification required
  • PE certification preferred
  • A motivated, curious problem-solver who works well independently and on a team.
