Opportunity available for an experienced heavy equipment operator. This individual must observe all Boh Bros. safety protocols and be drug-free. Must have consistent and reliable transportation to and from job sites assigned. Job site located in Cameron Parish.
Duties include but are not limited to operating a variety of power construction equipment including screeds, pavers, motor graders, excavators, front end loaders, rubber tire backhoes, dozers, used to place concrete or other hard surface paving materials; performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance on all equipment; performing other duties on the jobsite when not operating equipment, housekeeping at job site, checking safety protocol, beginning of shift set-up and end of shift clean-up, etc. Must be able to work in a team setting with other craft workers engaged in heavy construction activities.
Ability to work outdoors in extreme conditions, cold, heat, humidity, and some work at heights and in excavations, able to work at various job sites and locations assigned, and understand directions. Also may be exposed to hazards associated with but not limited to dust, odors, fumes, noise, and vibration hazards.
Must have a minimum of 1 year experience in operating and maintaining at least three (3) or more pieces of heavy equipment (i.e. screed, paver, motor grader, rubber tire backhoe, excavator, and dozer).
Must have experience in the road or industrial construction field, working outdoors in extreme weather conditions, and understand directions. Must be devoted and reliable.
Boh Bros. is a union contractor. All wages and benefits are determined by the union agreement.
