General Summary

This position will support different divisions of Dickerson and Bowen, including aggregate plants, asphalt plants and construction.

Essential Job Accountabilities

• Welding using oxygen acetylene, stick and mig
• Layout and cut steel using oxygen acetylene cutting torch
• Fabricate and weld various parts of asphalt and wash plants
• Safe usage of shop equipment, including cut off and band saw.

Education

            High School Diploma, preferred

Work Experience

• Minimum 3 years experience in all position welding
• Minimum 2 years experience in steel fabrication

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Must be able to meet all safety requirements and applicable safety policies
• Willingness to work weekends and overtime as required

 Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, sit, stand or walk. The employee is required to reach with hands and arms to weld and fabricate as needed. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth and ability to adjust focus. Work may have visits to multiple sites in which the employee would be exposed to loud noise, dust, and odor.
