Delta Engineers, Architects, & Surveyors (Delta) is a multidisciplinary AEC firm founded in upstate New York in 1976. Along with our corporate headquarters located near the intersection of Interstates 81, 86 and 88, Delta has additional offices across Central New York and Chevy Chase, MD, together with remote team members located across the US. WHO WE NEED

We are seeking a versatile and team-oriented Senior/Project Mechanical Engineer in the Mechanical Group at our Endwell, NY office. The candidate should have a Bachelor’s Degree with 10 years of relevant experience, or an Associate’s Degree with 15 years of relevant experience. An EIT is also required; a PE is preferred. The primary duties associated with this position include:

  • Management of some projects (as PM) with duties including responsibility for the quality of work performed, client service, project performance, and contract management.
  • Using methods recommended by senior project team members, perform work which involves conventional and/or complex types of plans, investigations, surveys, structures, or equipment.
  • Solve engineering problems using experience, judgment and education.
  • Remain proficient in the use of computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, AutoCAD, and Revit. Remain proficient in most Group design software(s).
  • Prepare, or assist in the preparation of, engineering documents, details, schedules or reports as assigned.
  • Attend and/or lead client meetings/presentations (daytime or evenings).
  • Communicate with client representatives, contractors, suppliers, etc.
  • Serve and/or lead field inspection teams to obtain and document existing conditions using field notes, sketches, and photography.
  • Develop project specifications and bidding documents.
  • Participate and/or lead site visits/inspections/documentation during construction.

Delta is driven to exceed our clients’ expectations on every project.   Accordingly, the successful applicant for this position must be willing to occasionally work adjusted hours/overtime.

WHAT WE OFFER

Hiring Salary Range: $85,000-$105,000 (Salary to be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities along with an internal equity and alignment with market area data.)
