The Quality Control Manager is responsible for overseeing and verifying the work performed at the job site complies with set quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Administer, maintain, and update Company’s Quality Control Plan.
  • Collaborate with onsite management team, client, subcontractors, vendors, etc. to ensure adherence to the project’s quality control plan during all aspects of the project.
  • Observe job site tasks and items as they relate to quality and follow through with any corrective actions needed to satisfy control plan and agreement terms.
  • Complete quality reports, documentation, and data as required. Maintain proper records.
  • Confirm schedule, drawings, equipment, etc. align with quality plan.
  • Constantly strive to improve company’s quality through leadership, knowledge, and skills.
  • Oversee third party testing.
  • Audit job site work and performance as it relates to the quality plan and agreement terms.
  • Train and educate onsite management, and leadership team on quality requirements and guidelines. Communicate changes and updates in a timely manner.
  • Support Company Social Contract, values, policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering (Civil preferred), or a related field of study
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience, preferably in heavy civil construction
  • Willingness and ability to travel and work, for extended periods, at job sites located predominately in the Southeastern United States.
  • Self-starter, detail oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable with technology and software; advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to have a flexible work schedule, including working overtime and weekends as needed

Work Environment

 Work is sometimes performed indoors and other times outside in all types of environmental conditions. This position performs strenuous physical activity, for long periods, under varying and adverse field conditions. This position must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs., stand, walk on uneven surfaces, manually manipulate, grasp, reach out and above shoulder, climb, kneel, bend, twist, and push/pull.
