About the Job
We're seeking an experienced Director of Product Marketing to lead our product marketing function and drive strategic go-to-market initiatives. This role combines hands-on product marketing expertise with future people leadership opportunities, initially operating as an individual contributor while building the foundation for team growth and partnering closely with Product, Sales, and Customer Success teams.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building and scaling product marketing functions, with deep experience in positioning, messaging, and lifecycle marketing for B2B software solutions. You'll be responsible for both strategic direction and tactical execution, ensuring our product story resonates with target audiences throughout their journey while establishing processes and frameworks that will support future team expansion.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Planning
- Develop comprehensive go-to-market strategies for new product launches, feature releases, and market expansion initiatives
- Define positioning and messaging frameworks that differentiate our platform in competitive markets
- Lead competitive intelligence efforts, creating battle cards and win/loss analysis that directly impact sales performance
- Establish scalable processes and frameworks for the product marketing function
- Build cross-functional relationships that will support team collaboration as the function grows
- Drive customer research initiatives to deeply understand buyer personas, purchasing criteria, and decision-making processes
- Oversee development of sales enablement materials, including pitch decks, demo scripts, objection handling guides, and competitive positioning
- Create compelling marketing content across channels, from website copy to product-focused webinars and thought leadership
- Develop customer marketing programs that drive adoption, engagement, satisfaction, and cross-sell
- Build customer advocacy initiatives including reference programs, case studies, and success story development
- Partner with Customer Success teams to create onboarding and retention campaigns that reduce churn

Preferred Education and Experience
- 6+ years of product marketing experience in B2B SaaS environments, construction technology or HR technology experience preferred
- 2+ years of people management experience
- Proven experience building product marketing functions from the ground up, with ability to scale into team leadership as the function grows
- Strong track record of successful product launches and go-to-market execution
- Experience with enterprise sales cycles and complex buyer journeys
