About the Job:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Director of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) to lead our FP&A function. This individual will play a critical role in shaping the financial strategy of the organization, providing executive leadership with insights to drive decision-making, resource allocation, and performance improvement. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and data analysis, combined with strong business acumen and leadership capabilities.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Lead Financial Planning: Own the company’s budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes, ensuring alignment with company goals and SaaS-specific performance metrics.
- Drive Strategic Insights: Deliver timely and actionable insights through in-depth analysis of key business and SaaS KPIs, including ARR, MRR, CAC, CLTV, Churn, Net Dollar Retention, and Payback Period.
- Executive Partnership: Collaborate with the CFO, CEO, and executive leadership to support strategic initiatives, including product development, pricing strategy, go-to-market planning, and capital allocation.
- Scenario Modeling: Develop and maintain robust financial models to evaluate business scenarios, investment opportunities, and key strategic decisions.
- Optimize Systems and Processes: Drive continuous improvement in planning and forecasting processes through automation, systems enhancement, and best practice implementation.
- Mergers and Acquisitions: Provide analytical support for M&A activities, including due diligence, integration planning, and post-deal performance monitoring.
- Team Leadership: Manage and develop a high-performing FP&A team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence.
- Board and Investor Reporting: Prepare financial presentations and analysis for board meetings, investor updates, and due diligence processes.
- SaaS Metrics Mastery: Lead the design and implementation of performance dashboards and internal reporting tools tailored to SaaS business dynamics.
Must Haves/Competencies:
- Deep understanding of SaaS business models, financial metrics, and unit economics.
- Proven experience in a high-growth, VC or PE-backed SaaS environments.
- Strong financial modeling and data analysis skills; proficiency in Excel and financial planning systems and tools.
- Experience with BI and data visualization tools (i.e., Power BI, Tableau).
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior executives.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for business leaders.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior involvement in fundraising, M&A, or IPO preparation.
- Experience scaling FP&A processes and systems in a high-growth SaaS company.
- Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite) and CRM (e.g., Salesforce) integrations with FP&A tools.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, with at least 5 years in a leadership role supporting SaaS or recurring revenue businesses.

$185,000-$215,000
