We are seeking Concrete Project Engineer Intern who possess strong IT skills, an aptitude for leadership and are in the process of obtaining a related degree in construction management, engineering, or architecture. Any relevant experience is beneficial, such as estimating, project scheduling and plan/blueprint reading.

Salary Range: $25.00 to 30.00 per hour
Purpose of the Position:
Our goal is to provide you with comprehensive learning experience that prepares you for a career as a Concrete Project Engineer at Plant Construction Company, L.P. As an intern, you will be paired with a mentor who will offer guidance and support throughout your internship. You will be assigned to a specific project, allowing you to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of project management, including estimating, budgeting, scheduling, construction technology, field operations, office operations, materials, and compliance with building codes and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting the Concrete Project Engineer in coordinating the work, ordering materials including concrete material, coordinating deliveries
- Review and process submittals and shop drawings till approved, coordinating submittals with contract documents
- Detailing concrete outline drawings
- Coordinate Inspections for all concrete work
- Labor and production tracking
- Surveying and Layout for concrete elements, block outs, and elevations
- Take offs for all concrete pours, scheduling ready mix and pumping operations in concert with the GC and Concrete Superintendent
- Project safety is a team effort; being an asset on the project team’s health and wellness will be essential
- Generation of RFIs to address conflicts in a solution orientated fashion
- Perform field review of assigned work in place for conformance to the contract documents
- Administrative support duties include:
- Physical/digital project document control for Job Set-up including Project Surveys & Permits, Specifications, Drawings, Submittals, RFI’s (Logs) through Close-Out docs
- Administrative document control for:
- Change orders - assist in identifying changed conditions, tracking costs, managing field execution
- Required safety submittals, OSHA documents.
- Participation in daily and weekly delivery schedule, logistics, etc.
- Punch List
- Meeting Minutes
Daily jobsite or office attendance is required. Those selected for the internship will need to make arrangements for their own housing and transportation for the length of the internship.
