The team at Coastline is looking to hire a Rental Manager/Lead Dispatcher at their Long Beach, CA branch and look to find an enthusiastic candidate to round out the team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Dispatch & Logistics Management: Oversee daily dispatch operations, schedule drivers, and coordinate equipment deliveries and transfers.
  • Customer Service & Account Management: Maintain strong customer relationships, establish new rental and sales accounts, and ensure accurate rental contract information.
  • Sales Support & Growth: Assist in developing strategies to grow rental business, conduct team reviews, and support territory management and sales planning.
  • Compliance & Documentation: Process rental quotations, contracts, and invoices; enforce credit policies; maintain insurance requirements; and file lien notices per company policy.
  • Inventory & Equipment Oversight: Monitor equipment availability, condition, and maintenance schedules; coordinate repairs and damage billing with service teams.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Support Branch Manager in coaching Rental Development team, conducting meetings, and driving revenue growth.
  • Project & Administrative Support: Lead assigned projects and perform additional duties to support branch operations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma, or equivalent.
  • Rental Department Experience: 3+ years of experience in Rental Department operations.
  • Software Proficiency: Ability to use standard desktop applications like Microsoft Office and internet functions.
  • Product Knowledge: Familiarity with John Deere and competitive products.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and motivate others.
  • Communication Skills: Effective writing and speaking skills for individuals and groups.
  • Financial Understanding: Basic understanding of financial principles related to Rental Department operations.
  • Report Analysis: Ability to analyze and interpret internal reports.

Physical Requirements:

  • Driving: Must be able to drive and travel in a vehicle. For the purposes of driving, must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
  • Work Flexibility: Ability to work extended hours and weekends.
  • Physical Demands: Standard office environment with prolonged periods of sitting and computer use. May occasionally require standing or moving between office areas.
