Work Location – Remote, Hybrid or In Office. Business needs require candidate to live within an hour of the Omaha Metro Area.

Summary/objective: As a Mortgage Operations Loan Processor, you will perform a full range of loan processing activities to ensure mortgage applications are accurately and efficiently prepared for closing. In this role, you will accept originated loan applications and manage all necessary steps to complete the loan file in accordance with investor and regulatory guidelines.
You will utilize checklists to organize and track required documentation, review credit reports, appraisals, flood certifications, rate locks, income and asset verification, and disclosures for accuracy, and communicate directly with underwriters to resolve conditions. Your attention to detail and commitment to compliance will be essential in managing the loan pipeline and preparing complete, closing-ready loan packages.
Essential functions
- Process all mortgage loans designated for sale to the secondary market, ensuring compliance with investor guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate the collection of required documentation from loan originators, customers, and investors to complete mortgage requests.
- Communicate directly with underwriters to address and fulfill underwriting conditions in a timely manner.
- Review and verify the accuracy of all loan documentation, including: Credit reports, Appraisals, Flood certifications, Rate lock agreements, Income and asset documentation, Verifications, Disclosures, Any other pertinent materials.
- Manage the loan pipeline to ensure timely processing and delivery of loans.
- Monitor compliance with internal policies and external regulations throughout the loan process.
- Maintain clear and professional communication with all stakeholders to ensure transparency and efficiency.
- Project a professional image in dress, manner, communication, and focus.

Competencies, education and experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of mortgage loan processing experience.
- Familiarity with loan origination systems, especially Encompass, is strongly preferred.
- Experience working in a regulated financial institution or mortgage lending environment is a plus.
- Self-discipline, organized, and capability of handling multiple projects and deadlines
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Working knowledge of the Encompass Loan Origination System (LOS), including navigation, document management, and workflow processing.
- Familiarity with secondary market loan requirements and investor guidelines.
- Understanding of mortgage loan documentation, including credit reports, appraisals, flood certifications, income and asset verification, and disclosures.
- Knowledge of underwriting processes and the ability to interpret and fulfill underwriting conditions.
- Experience with pipeline management and tracking loan progress from application through funding.
- Knowledge of compliance regulations related to mortgage lending, including TRID, RESPA, and HMDA.
- Ability to identify and resolve documentation discrepancies or missing items.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other mortgage-related software platforms.

Position type and expected hours of work: full time, 8-5 M-F, weekends and OT, as needed.
