These roles are anticipated to be part-time, ongoing, 20-25 hours per week.  This role does not include housing and is local to Columbus, OH/Urbana, OH areas.

Preconstruction Internship

Where great projects begin.

Preconstruction is where vision meets reality. As a Preconstruction Intern, you’ll work with estimators, project managers, and design teams to understand how ideas become buildable plans. You’ll gain a deep appreciation for the strategy, collaboration, and technical insight that set great projects up for success.

What You’ll Do:

  • Review and interpret drawings, plans, and specifications
  • Perform quantity takeoffs and assist in developing cost estimates and proposals
  • Participate in design and coordination meetings
  • Help build preliminary budgets and bid packages
  • Support subcontractor outreach, scope reviews, and value analysis efforts
  • Learn how early planning drives project success

Operations Internship

Where the action happens.

Operations interns are embedded right where the work takes place — on the jobsite. You’ll be part of the team that manages day-to-day progress, safety, quality, and coordination. It’s fast-paced, hands-on, and a front-row seat to how complex projects come to life.

What You’ll Do:

  • Read and interpret drawings, RFIs, and submittals
  • Participate in daily coordination and safety meetings
  • Assist with schedule tracking and field documentation
  • Help maintain logs, reports, and progress updates
  • Support the superintendent and project manager in problem-solving and workflow planning
  • Learn the rhythm of a jobsite — from mobilization to milestone

Finance Internship

Where construction meets strategy.

Behind every great project is a solid financial foundation. As a Finance Intern, you’ll learn how budgets, forecasts, and cost control drive smart construction decisions. Working with both operations and accounting teams, you’ll gain exposure to the business side of building — and how strategic financial management supports project success.

What You’ll Do:

  • Support project cost tracking, forecasting, and reporting
  • Assist with accounts payable and receivable functions
  • Analyze project financial data and performance trends
  • Collaborate with project teams to understand cost drivers and value opportunities
  • Help prepare monthly reports and dashboards for leadership

What We Look For

  • Students pursuing degrees in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Finance, or related fields who have completed their sophomore year of college-recent graduates
  • A genuine interest in the construction industry and a drive to learn
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • A collaborative, proactive attitude, and a willingness to roll up your sleeves
