Job Description

Want to put your CDL experience to work but still be home every night? B.R. Kreider & Son, Inc. is looking for a full-time licensed CDL Driver who has experience operating  a tractor and lowboy trailer (Landoll trailer) safely on the road and jobsites. This would at times include permitted oversized and overweight loads.  Must be able to operate equipment to load it onto trailer, safely tie down the equipment and transport over the road. CDL Class A License is required. Two years of lowboy experience is required.

Responsibilities

  • Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of truck and trailer
  • Complete daily maintenance of truck and trailer
  • Maintain truck and trailer in compliance with Penn DOT regulations at all times including hours of service
  • Operate equipment to load and unload on and off lowboy trailer
  • Operate truck and trailer in a courteous and safe manner on highway

Experience & Qualifications

  • Valid CDL Class A  License Required
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Minimum 2 years of Lowboy expereince
  • Knowledge of highway regulations and Penn Dot requirements for CDL.
  • Knowledge of local roads and safest route to travel.
  • Knowledge of laws for proper signage and flagging of oversized loads.
  • Knowledge of load securement.
  • Familiar with the geographical area.
