Laborer

As a member of the Craft Performance Group (CPG) field team, the Laborer supports daily construction operations by assisting with installation, material handling, and general jobsite activities across electrical, HVAC, and MEP scopes. By following safety protocols, supporting skilled trades, and maintaining a clean and organized jobsite, the Laborer plays a key role in delivering quality work and supporting CPG and ANDRES’ continued growth in the Austin market.

This role has an average hourly rate of $15-$20, largely depending on experience level. 

Key Responsiblities:

Jobsite Safety & Compliance

  • Advocate safety as the number one priority on the jobsite and comply with all company and jobsite safety plans, policies, and regulations

  • Wear required personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses at all times; respirator when required)

  • Maintain safe work practices and follow all safety protocols

Installation & Trade Support

  • Assist with installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical, HVAC, or MEP systems per project specifications

  • Support electricians, HVAC technicians, and MEP trades during jobsite installations

  • Assist with installation and assembly of CPG construction scope components under supervision

Field Operations & Production Support

  • Assist with daily production activities in accordance with the contracted scope of work

  • Support material handling, including loading, unloading, staging, and organization of materials

  • Assist with coordinating production activities with other trades as directed

Quality Control & Workmanship

  • Perform quality control checks on installation work performed

  • Ensure all work meets quality standards and applicable codes as directed

  • Maintain clean, organized, and efficient work areas

Documentation & Communication

  • Maintain daily reports, time sheets, and required jobsite documentation as assigned

  • Communicate jobsite issues, concerns, or safety hazards to supervisors promptly

  • Follow instructions from supervisors to complete assigned tasks efficiently and safely

General Labor & Team Collaboration

  • Perform general labor tasks as needed to support jobsite operations

  • Collaborate with the Superintendent and project team to complete scope work efficiently

  • Demonstrate a team-first mindset and willingness to learn

Phsyical Requirements & Work Environment:

  • Physical duties are a primary part of this role (more than 70%).
  • Duties may include crawling, standing, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, sitting, and reaching
  • Must be able to routinely lift heavy objects in excess of 50 pounds; pushing and pulling of objects also required
  • Must be able to travel to different project locations within the metroplex as needed
  • Job requires working in all elements, specifically related to hot, cold, or wet weather
  • Able to work 8-10 hours per day/40 hours per week, as well as overtime and potential night shifts as required
  • Repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers

  •  1+ year of construction experience preferred.
