PROJECT SCHEDULER

Position Summary 

WIELAND’s Project Scheduler will work closely with the Pre-Construction and Construction Project Teams to maintain schedules during project development and report accurate schedule statuses weekly.

Job Functions

  • Update/track development of project-related activities while maintaining close contact with the construction field teams and all supporting home office groups including Operations and Pre-construction.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed schedule reports as required including critical path view, baseline actual view, look ahead view and milestone view.
  • Ability to lead and facilitate project scheduling meetings with all project teams.
  • Ability to coordinate numerous activities at once and reprioritize throughout the workday.
  • Ability to anticipate and prioritize and prepare and guide project teams to develop contingency plans to reach a solution.
  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining an effective scheduling management systems.
  • Communicate clear, challenging and measurable goals to ensure employee expectations are known. 
  • Develop, coordinate and manage project schedules within WIELAND's scheduling software. 
  • Review lower tier subcontractor schedule submittals (RFP, Baseline, Updates) and advise on any concerns.
  • Support and/or participate in presentations to potential clients for team interviews for project pursuit.
  • Review bid documents to create accurate project schedules.
  • Identifying potential project schedule delays and facilitating intervention in a timely manner.
  • Prepare monthly reports including Budget, and Forecast Analysis, Schedule, and Safety. 
  • Consulting with Project Managers and technical experts to set up assignments, tasks, and subtasks. 
  • Monitor and walk jobsites as required to ensure compliance with current quality and safety standards. 
  • Communicate project/personnel obstacles with the PM's and Project Executives. 
  • Ability to receive methods for improvement or constructive criticism. 
  • Actively lead by example and champion diversity in everyday actions and decisions. 
  • Respects differences and similarities; listens and takes the time to understand viewpoints of others.
  • Maintains and displays company values and culture. 
  • Travel to projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • 5 years’ experience with Construction Scheduling, specifically CPM planning/scheduling.
  • 5 years’ experience in managing and implementing a range of different types of construction projects.
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills 
  • Experience with scheduling software preferred. 
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills. 
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. 
  • Ability to travel, as needed
