ANDRES is currently accepting applications for a Superintendent opening.

Superintendent Knowledge and Experience Requirements:

- College degree preferred but not required

- 10+ years Wood-Frame and Multifamily Construction experience

- Technology literate

Superintendent Responsibilities (not limited to):

- Supervise, coordinate, understand, and manage all aspects of the building process

- Advocate safety as number one priority on the jobsite and enforce compliance with company / jobsite safety plan, policies, and all safety-related regulations

- Responsible for daily reports, progress reports, compliance reports, and logs

- Understand and execute project permitting procedures

- Employ Lean Construction practices/principles

- Schedule / coordinate surveys and layout

- Assist in expediting submittals and shop drawings

- Coordinate, schedule, and manage all subcontractors and vendors

- Conduct Weekly Subcontractor Coordination Meetings with all onsite or soon to be onsite subcontractor supervision

- Identify and resolve construction problems as they develop

- Maintain a clean and orderly jobsite

- Develop and manage schedules and ensure all activities take place on or ahead of scheduled dates

- Review and verify all Requests for Information (RFIs)

- Oversee the review of plans and drawings in accordance with contract documents and the coordination of shop drawings

- Work with supervisory personnel and employees, engineers, architects, subcontractors, inspectors, and suppliers to improve construction methods and resolve construction issues

- Share knowledge (best practices and lessons learned) on the ANDRES Forum

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

- Must walk the construction site frequently every day

- Able to work long hours in seasonal conditions as required

- Able to physically negotiate the hazards of a new construction work site (i.e. uneven surfaces, floor openings, heights, etc.)
