Position Purpose
To supervise all services provided by the Transportation department in order to maintain the highest level of courteous, professional, and efficient service to all guests. Plan, organize, and maintain daily operations per shift to meet the demands of the hotel guests in an effective and efficient manner. Ensures that the transportation and guest services department is up to and above hotel standards and presents a professional manner at all times.
Essential Functions:
- To monitor and improve the performance and consistency of the Transportation and Guest Services department. Establish daily goals with all the team members and monitor their progress on these goals. Assist, coach, and instruct regarding these goals as necessary.
- Ensure that all team members are being coached on safety of driving guest vehicles and ensuring the proper documentation is ascertained on the valet ticket while making certain that a damage survey is conducted on every guest vehicle.
- Ensure all team members take a proper 30 minute lunch during each shift.
- Assist in the investigation of vehicle damage.
- Ensure all new hire team members are trained correctly in the daily operations, flash valet, grooming standards, ticket issuing, customer service standards and safety.
- Monitor the team in professional fashion to ensure team is being efficient and productive making necessary shift cuts or shift extensions depending on the business demand for the day.
- Ensure that the Front Drive properly reacts to all service issues defined by convention resumes and other sales and tour and travel contracts. Communicate with other departments to facilitate proper handling of all guests and groups and the hotel vehicle.
- Assist in coordinating VIP pick up/drop off at airport for scheduled guest VIP’s and communicates with all departments.
- Attending pre-cons and additional meetings in the absence of the Transportation Manager/Assistant.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education And Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- One (1) year practical experience as Supervisor or other related supervisory role.
Licenses or Certificates:
- Valid Texas Driver’s License
