Position Summary

Weaver Cooke offers a robust internship program with a four-week rotation at various project sites across Weaver Cooke's regions. Under the mentorship of Project Management, Superintendents, and Preconstruction, the Intern supports all aspects of project administration, documentation, and coordination. This role provides hands-on experience in maintaining project paperwork and drawings, assisting with construction scheduling, coordinating material deliveries, and supporting jobsite operations. The internship is designed to help students build strong interpersonal skills, gain real-world exposure to client and subcontractor interactions, and understand the importance of safety and efficiency on site.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Currently pursuing a degree in Construction Management or a related field.
• Skills & Abilities:
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to read and interpret drawings is a plus but not required.
• Personal Attributes:
• Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated and eager to take initiative.
• Commitment to safety and professionalism.
• Other Requirements:
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
• Must be able to work on site and perform light physical activity as required.

Physical Demands and Environmental Conditions

• Occasional Exposure: Dust, fumes, electric shock, radiation, and toxic/caustic chemicals.
• Frequent Activities: Stooping, bending, crouching, reaching, handling, finger dexterity, sitting, standing, walking, and lifting 20 lbs or more.
• Constant Requirements: Fine finger dexterity; ability to see details at close range and distance; ability to hear and speak clearly; and functional depth perception.
• Occasional Activities: Climbing, carrying, working near moving mechanical parts, and working at heights or in exposed places.
• Noise Level: High.
