Position Purpose
The Business Travel / Corporate Market Sales Manager is responsible for generating room night revenue through development and management of the Business Travel and Corporate transient market segments. This individual will actively solicit new accounts, nurture existing relationships, and strategically manage corporate partnerships to achieve and exceed revenue goals.
Essential Functions:
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan targeting the Business Travel and Corporate markets to maximize room revenue.
- Solicit, negotiate, and confirm local negotiated corporate accounts and business travel contracts.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication, outside sales calls, networking events, and site visits.
- Conduct account reviews, analyze production, and adjust strategies to ensure account growth and retention.
- Collaborate with the Revenue and Reservations teams to ensure negotiated rates and contracts are properly loaded and monitored.
- Participate in local and national industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to expand market reach.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, contracts, and account production within the Sales systems.
- Prepare and present regular performance reports, market analyses, and sales forecasts.
- Work collaboratively with all hotel departments to ensure a seamless experience for corporate guests and clients
Qualifications :
- Minimum 2–3 years of hotel sales experience, preferably within the Business Travel or Corporate market segment experience a plus.
- Knowledge of San Antonio and regional corporate markets.
- Ability to handle hotels sales systems to include Microsoft office
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals and account production.
- Excellent writing, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to travel locally, and throughout the U.S. if needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field a plus.
