Position Purpose:

This role is responsible for managing all aspects of event planning and catering functions, from proposal to execution including social, corporate, and group events, while ensuring the highest standards of service and guest satisfaction in line with Hilton brand standards.

 

Essential Functions:

· Manage and coordinate all aspects of catering and event sales for corporate meetings, social functions, and group events.

· Conduct site visits, client meetings, and tastings to promote the hotel’s event spaces and catering options.

· Prepare and negotiate proposals and contracts, ensuring accuracy and profitability while meeting client needs.

· Work closely with the culinary, banquet, and operations teams to ensure seamless event execution.

· Create detailed Banquet Event Orders and distribute timely information to all departments.

· Maintain accurate records in Delphi and follow Hilton sales standards and procedures.

· Meet or exceed catering and event revenue goals, including upselling food and beverage enhancements and AV services.

· Cultivate strong client relationships to drive repeat and referral business.

· Participate in local networking events, community outreach, and Hilton brand initiatives to generate new leads.

· Provide on-site support during events as needed to ensure client satisfaction and successful outcomes.

· Assist with forecasting, budgeting, and month-end reporting in coordination with the sales leadership team.

· Solicits, negotiates and books new and repeat business through efforts (outside sales calls, telemarketing, mailings, networking, etc...) while maximizing banquet space to meet/exceed revenue goals.

· Plan, up-sell and detail the meeting/function with the client including space requirements, times, equipment, menus, themes/decorations, etc... Completes the contracts, prepare the appropriate paperwork, coordinate with the appropriate areas in the hotel, resolve customer issues, complaints and problems to ensure quality product delivery and customer satisfaction.

· Maintains up-to-date knowledge of corporate/hotel procedures and products and the competition's product, strengths and weaknesses to continually improve sales strategies and the achievement of goals.

· Other duties as assigned.

 

Supportive Functions:

In addition to the performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the requirements of the company.

· Ensures that all guest interactions meet the highest level of service and warm welcome/departure for all guests.

· Type contracts, menus, letters, and reports, as needed.

· Communicate with relevant departments to ensure proper servicing of accounts.

 

Qualifications:

· Minimum 2 years of experience in catering sales, event management, or hotel.

· Knowledge of Delphi or similar event management systems.

· Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and negotiation skills.

· Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.

· Strong attention to detail and commitment to outstanding guest service.

· Flexible schedule including availability for some evenings, weekends, and on-site event support.

· Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or related field a plus.
