Organization, flexibility, excellent customer focus and strong communication are critical in performing duties which include, but are not limited to:
Supervise the overall financial health of projects:
• Develop and maintain project financial projections and equipment projections
• Develop & allocate project estimate into financial system with accounting team
• Assign cost codes, approve invoices, and make necessary budget management decisions
• Provide financials and billings to Accounting for timely payment
• Create monthly owner billings
• Create Subcontracts for subcontractors & suppliers
Manage subcontracts/suppliers & Shaw-Lundquist Staff for the project:
• Maintain the budget for and make selections of trade partners and suppliers
• Handle billings and contract management, including contract buyouts
• Handle cost or performance disputes with Subcontractors or Suppliers
• Lead Field Engineer(s) & Project Engineer(s)
• Provide job assignments and manage career development of support staff
• Approve time cards for on-site team members
• Provide ongoing feedback of work performance for FE/PE
• Ensure project team members are following Established Processes
Function as the main point of contact with the owner and on-site representative:
• Assist with the review of the owner agreement
• Resolve site concerns for the owner or representative
• Function as the main point of contact with the owner and on-site representative
• Provide frequent interactions and service to build positive relationships and future work opportunities
Execute scope changes & change orders:
• Decide when to submit scope changes to the owner or on-site representatives
• Obtain the customer/architect’s approval
• Process owner change orders
Other duties as assigned, including:
• Maintain schedule and budget until project completion
• Provide high level management of quality, risk, safety, and compliance for the project and team members
• Oversee Project Close-Out with project team
• Use the appropriate level of forethought and planning in decision-making to assure project success
• Lead negotiation of claims/disputes with the client and subs/suppliers
• Pre-Construction Duties for Business Development
Qualifications:
• Minimum eight years of construction management or related experience
• Pre-Construction & intermediate estimating experience
• Minimum five years of experience working on Large Complex Projects over $20M
• Demonstrated ability to assign responsibilities to team members for complex projects
• Detail orientation sufficient to organize and run multiple project tasks
• Possess intermediate understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices
• Microsoft Office, Project, Bluebeam, ProCore and pertinent web application skills at an advanced level
• Positive professional attitude, and strong customer service skills
• Ability to interpret and communicate Shaw-Lundquist policies
• Current driver’s license
• Ability to travel to remote locations & manage out of area projects
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent experience in a Project Management Certification Program
• OSHA 30
