Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Shop Driver to support our team in Baltimore, MD.  As the Shop Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of merchandise and goods to various locations as required. This role involves driving company vehicles, ensuring the proper loading and unloading of cargo, and maintaining vehicle cleanliness and maintenance schedules.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate company vehicles to transport goods to specified destinations in a timely manner.
  • Verify the accuracy of delivery documents and ensure proper loading and unloading of products.
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues to the maintenance department.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle, both inside and out.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety regulations during all driving activities.
  • Assist with inventory management and handling of goods within the shop as needed.
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive relationships with customers during deliveries.
  • Manage delivery schedules and routes efficiently to optimize time and resources.
  • Record and report delivery confirmations and any discrepancies to the logistics team.
  • Participate in required training sessions, safety meetings, and other team meetings as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Must have, or be willing to obtain, a DOT medical card.
  • Previous experience as a driver; delivery experience is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of road safety and DOT regulations.
  • Ability to operate both manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy materials as required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Working Conditions:
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends and holidays if required.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions and in a physical, hands-on environment.
