POSITION DESCRIPTION
The AI Enablement Lead accelerates McGough’s adoption of generative AI. This individual will lead the adoption, governance, and value delivery of AI solutions such as ChatGPT Enterprise, Procore Agent Builder and related AI tools across the organization. They will partner with business to identify high-impact use cases, drive deployment, ensure responsible use, and train employees to leverage AI effectively while upholding McGough’s policies and values. This individual must be able to translate technical potential into business value. They will need to combine curiosity and structure able to bridge enthusiasm for AI with the reality of business operations.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- 2+ years experience owning or managing an internal digital product or platform.
- 5+ years experience defining business use cases and building business cases.
- Fluency in Large Language Models (LLMs) and generative AI capabilities, limitations, and common enterprise risks.
- Experience writing or interpreting policy in partnership with Legal and IT.
- Experience in organizational change management, digital transformation, or innovation programs.
- Experience running structured intake, prioritization, and value assessment processes.
- Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills; able to bridge technical and business contexts.
- Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence without authority.
- Demonstrated success delivering projects on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational change objectives.
Preferred:
- Experience working with enterprise governance bodies or steering committees.
- Familiarity with construction or project-based operational workflows.
- Background in learning and development of a workforce.
- Background supporting enterprise platforms with emerging tech components.
- Bachelor’s degree or 3 years of equivalent experience in computer science, information technology, or related field.
Skills:
- Strategic thinker with tactical execution capability.
- Strong collaboration and facilitation skills; able to drive clarity and accountability in complex initiatives.
- Comfortable managing ambiguity, prioritization, and change across competing priorities.
- Experience with project management tools (JIRA, Confluence, Smartsheet, MS Project, etc.).
- Financial acumen to support budgeting, forecasting, and scheduling.
- Clear, confident communicator with executive presence and attention to detail.
OFFICE AND TRAVEL
- Position will be based in McGough’s Roseville MN or Raleigh, NC Offices.
- Travel is expected to be approximately 25% consisting of quarterly trips to McGough’s headquarters for various training or team building activities. Additional travel to various national office locations may be required as determined by the individual and their manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
Enablement, Training and Adoption:
- Lead the implementation and scaling of ChatGPT Enterprise and related AI tools across departments.
- Lead operational readiness and change enablement for new digital tools and enhancements.
- Champion “responsible AI” through education on best practices and limitations.
- Design and deliver training programs, office hours, and self-service learning paths for employees of all levels.
- Create and maintain internal documentation, quick-start guides, and use case repositories.
Strategy and Governance:
- Partner with Digital Operations and Data Engineering on enterprise governance alignment.
- Partner with IT, HR, Legal, and business leaders to ensure a secure, compliant, and efficient utilization.
- Maintain and update the company’s AI Acceptable Use and Governance Policies.
- Evaluate features and vendor offerings and guide scaling or sunsetting decisions based on data and impact.
- Manage third-party vendors and service providers to ensure accountability to scope and SOWs.
- Own the intake and prioritization of AI use cases across the business.
Value Delivery and Operational Excellence:
- Establish lightweight standards for responsible AI usage and vendor evaluation.
- Monitor usage to ensure compliance with policy and ethical standards.
- Track progress through defined metrics (adoption, usage, quality, and satisfaction).
- Drive continuous improvement in deployment processes and tools to improve velocity and quality.
- Develop frameworks for feature onboarding, management and training.
- Champion digital delivery standards and documentation practices.

Position involves sitting for extended periods of time at employee’s workstation and during meetings as well as while traveling, either by plane or car. Employee needs to be able to lift to 20 pounds as frequently as needed to move objects; dexterity to write and manipulate computer keyboard and mouse; ability to hear and speak clearly; and ability to distinguish between colors on graphs and charts.
Employee may be required to visit construction jobsites which may expose the employee to dirt, dust, uneven surfaces, outdoor weather conditions and extreme temperatures.

In alignment with our commitment to pay transparency, the base salary range for this position is $130,000 to $160,000, excluding fringe benefits or potential bonuses. If you join McGough, your final base salary will be determined by several factors, including geography, location, skills, education, and experience. Furthermore, we place significant value on pay equity among our current team members as part of any final job offer.
Please note that the range provided above reflects the hiring range for this role. Hiring near the top end of this range would be atypical, as we aim to allow room for future salary growth. Additionally, McGough offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package. This includes insurance coverage for medical, dental, vision, life, and disability.
