About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Cabinet Maker / Carpenter to join our Millworks Department. This position focuses on custom cabinetry and architectural millwork for commercial construction projects. You’ll work with high-quality materials and collaborate with a skilled team to deliver precision craftsmanship for offices, retail spaces, and other commercial environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications to determine dimensions, materials, and techniques.
  • Custom Cabinetry & Millwork: Fabricate, assemble, and install cabinets, countertops, shelving, and other custom wood components.
  • Installation: Install doors, windows, trim, molding, and hardware with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Finish Carpentry: Apply stains, varnishes, and sealants; install decorative trim and ensure a polished final product.
  • Tool & Equipment Use: Operate hand tools and power tools (saws, drills, routers, sanders) safely and efficiently.
  • Quality & Safety: Maintain compliance with safety standards and perform quality checks to meet project specifications.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or apprenticeship in carpentry preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in cabinet making or millwork for commercial construction projects.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong knowledge of woodworking techniques, materials, and finishes.
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials.
  • Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with architectural millwork and commercial cabinetry.
  • Familiarity with CNC machinery and advanced woodworking tools.
  • Knowledge of commercial construction standards and timelines.

  • Pay is dependent on experience, typically ranging from $18 to $22 per hour.
