Social Science Research Intern

As a Research Intern at SSRS, you will support full-time staff on research projects from inception through final deliverables on our client services team. This internship is approximately 35-40 hours a week, starting on June 2, 2026. The end date is flexible; typically, around the first or second week of August 2026.

This position requires working from the Glen Mills, PA office two days per week on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Learn about survey research from leading practitioners in the industry.
- Gain hands-on experience through supporting the implementation of research projects, including survey and sample design, quality assurance steps, multi-mode implementation, data processing, weighting, and analytics approaches.
- Learn a range of technical skills that will be applied to current projects.
- Work with SSRS teams to develop collaboration, communication, and project management skills.
- Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- Currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate student in statistics, social sciences or related field, as of the summer of 2026. Undergraduates should have completed a minimum of 3 years of coursework.
- Interest in pursuing a career in social science research, or survey research and methodology; excitement about social science research.
- Ability to work in the Glen Mills, PA office two days a week, on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9 AM – 5 PM. Temporary relocation assistance, including housing and transportation, are not provided.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (including Word and Excel). Some knowledge of SPSS or other statistical software (R, STATA, SAS) are preferred.
- Candidates should be detail-oriented and highly-organized.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment requiring time management.
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
Pay Rates:
Undergraduate students: $18 / hour
Graduate students: $22 / hour
