Essential Duties:
- Repair, maintain, and adjust commercial dock levelers and equipment
- Repair, maintain, and adjust residential and commercial garage doors and garage door openers
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and structural issues with products including dock levelers, doors, tracks, springs, cables, sensors, and openers
- Perform routine inspections to ensure proper alignment, lubrication, and safe operation of equipment
- Replace worn or damaged parts, including springs, rollers, hinges, seals, and weather stripping
- Operate scissor lifts and forklifts to access elevated work areas and transport materials and equipment
- Operate hand and power tools, and measuring instruments safely and efficiently
- Safely operate company vehicles, including occasional pulling of trailers with tools, equipment, and supplies
- Maintain accurate records of services performed
- Provide customers with estimates, explain service needs, answer technical questions, and collect customer payments in a professional manner
- Load, transport, and unload tools, equipment, and materials to and from job sites
- Other duties as assigned
What are some requirements of the job?
- Ability to work a full-time, day shift
- Ability to lift and carry 75+ pounds
- Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record is a must
- Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening
- DOT physical is required
