Summer is just around the corner, and we're building our team of Lifeguards and Water Safety Instructors right now!  If you are not yet certified, contact Embe in Sioux Falls via the link below to schedule your training. (The City of Brandon will reimburse you the cost of certification if you complete the summer with us).

Competitive Pay includes hourly rates below PLUS potential for $.25 or $.50 bonus per hour worked if you complete the season with us.

Lifeguards: $16.05/hour (additional pay if you are returning with us)

WSI: $17.05/hour (additional pay if you are returning with us)

Head Guards: $17.55 (additional pay if you are returning with us) 

Responsibilities include:  

• Opening and closing the pool each day according to scheduled hours
• Regularly treating the pool with the correct amount of chemicals 
• Closely monitoring activities related to the pool area, identifying any safety issues throughout shift
• Directing swimmers out of water in dangerous conditions
• Closely monitoring weather reports to make sure guests remain safe
• Providing swim lessons and coaching swim team when applicable
• Maintaining a clean pool environment

The ideal candidate will have: 

• Prefer candidates be 16+ years old. We will consider a limited number of 15+ year old candidates. All candidates must have, or be scheduled to obtain, certification before the pool opens. 

Must be able to perform the following:

• Work outside exposed to sun and heat conditions
• Lift/move up to 25 pounds
• Walk or stand for long periods of time
