SUMMARY
Responsible for the loading and delivery of concrete products and other associated products to construction job sites in a safe and efficient manner, by performing the following duties:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Climbs in and out of truck as needed.
Loads truck with sand, aggregate, cement, and water.
Drives truck to location for unloading.
Removes/replaces discharge chute extensions.
Moves levers and pushes buttons on truck to move chute into desired location and starts mixing process.
Cleans truck after delivery to prevent concrete from hardening on chute and on truck.
Sprays surfaces of truck with protective compound to prevent adhering of concrete.
Operates truck in various locations and traffic loads.
Turns steering wheel with hands and arms to guide truck.
Turns head as needed to see out of mirrors.
Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water (Pre-Trip and Post Trip Inspections). Schedules repairs as needed.
Assists as required or needed with general labor work, i.e., shoveling, sweeping, etc.
Adheres to all company, client, and project policies, procedures, standards, etc. including but not limited to the Safety Manual, the Employee Handbook, and the Fleet Safety Manual.
Maintains an accurate and up to date Logbook (as required).
Answers directly to Project Managers, Corporate Officers, or others given authority by the company.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
One (1) year driving (Commercial Motor Vehicle) experience or related training (truck driving school). Experience with Volumetric Concrete Truck preferred, but not required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
In accordance with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, a driver must be able to read, write, and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers. Ability to perform these operations using units of American weight measurement, volume, and distance.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must maintain a valid Commercial Driver's License.
Must possess a current Medical Examiner's Certificate (or have ability to obtain one).

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus, and the ability to recognize the colors of traffic signals and devices showing standard red, green, and amber.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The employee is occasionally required to work long hours (normal work hours average 10 to 12 hours per day; conditions may dictate up to 15 hours to complete the project.)
