Equus Striping is seeking a dependable CDL Class A Driver / General Laborer to join our field operations team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, operating equipment, and being part of a collaborative crew that delivers high-quality pavement marking projects across the DC Metro area.

As a Driver/Crew Member, you’ll be responsible for safely operating a thermoplastic trailer while also actively participating in fieldwork and general labor tasks. We provide comprehensive on-the-job training and opportunities to earn industry certifications.

SNAPSHOT OF YOUR DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Safely operate and drive a thermoplastic trailer between job sites
  • Assist with pavement marking installation (paint, thermo, epoxy, Streetbond)
  • Participate in daily project setup and end-of day cleanup
  • Perform traffic control using safe practices
  • Operate pavement marking equipment (airless paint machines, hand liners, and grinders)
  • Load and unload materials and equipment
  • Perform basic equipment maintenance and repairs
  • Follows directions and supports the crew as needed

SKILLS DESIRED/REQUIRED:

  • Valid Driver’s License with CDL Class A (required)

  • Clean driving record with no major violations

  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs and perform physical labor

  • Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

  • Availability for early mornings, overtime, nights, and weekends

  • Proven leadership, strong communication skills, and responsiveness to scheduling calls/texts

  • OHSA 30 and First Aid/CPR/AED trained, with a deep understanding of safety regulations and protocols
