About the Role
We’re hiring a Project Manager to oversee paving projects from pre-construction through completion. This role is responsible for coordinating people, materials, equipment, schedules, and budgets while maintaining strong communication with internal teams, owners, and contractors.
What You’ll Do
- Coordinate personnel, materials, equipment, trucks, and tools to support foremen and crews
- Review, verify, and approve foremen time sheets and pay quantities
- Monitor project progress and keep leadership informed on status and timelines
- Manage project budgets, costs, and schedules
- Serve as the primary point of contact between the company, owners, and prime contractors
- Prepare for and attend pre‑construction meetings
- Finalize and reconcile project quantities
- Create Jobsite Safety Analyses and address potential safety risks
- Promote quality standards and safe work practices across all project phases
- Maintain regular in‑person attendance
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting and standing
- Ability to access and navigate active job sites and office environments
- Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions as required by project needs
- Willingness to work extended hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends as projects require
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred)
- 3 or more years of project management experience in heavy highway construction (preferred)
- Knowledge of asphalt paving operations and construction processes
- Familiarity with ODOT/MDOT paving and construction specifications
- Strong organization, problem‑solving, and time‑management skills
- Clear and professional communication with crews, contractors, and leadership
- Commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork
