About the Role

We’re hiring a Project Manager to oversee paving projects from pre-construction through completion. This role is responsible for coordinating people, materials, equipment, schedules, and budgets while maintaining strong communication with internal teams, owners, and contractors.

What You’ll Do

• Coordinate personnel, materials, equipment, trucks, and tools to support foremen and crews
• Review, verify, and approve foremen time sheets and pay quantities
• Monitor project progress and keep leadership informed on status and timelines
• Manage project budgets, costs, and schedules
• Serve as the primary point of contact between the company, owners, and prime contractors
• Prepare for and attend pre‑construction meetings
• Finalize and reconcile project quantities
• Create Jobsite Safety Analyses and address potential safety risks
• Promote quality standards and safe work practices across all project phases
• Maintain regular in‑person attendance

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of sitting and standing
• Ability to access and navigate active job sites and office environments
• Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions as required by project needs
• Willingness to work extended hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends as projects require

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred)
• 3 or more years of project management experience in heavy highway construction (preferred)
• Knowledge of asphalt paving operations and construction processes
• Familiarity with ODOT/MDOT paving and construction specifications
• Strong organization, problem‑solving, and time‑management skills
• Clear and professional communication with crews, contractors, and leadership
• Commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork
