Job Summary:
We’re seeking a highly motivated and organized entry-level safety and compliance coordinator to work as part of our company’s growing safety team. The successful candidate will assist in managing our company’s safety programs, oversee fleet administration, manage insurance/DOT obligations, and help field leaders mitigate risk. A major requirement of this role is extensive travel to conduct hands-on safety training and complete audits across various branch locations and field operations.
Responsibilities:
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop, update, and implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Travel extensively to conduct required safety training, including serving as the primary instructor for defensive driving(e.g. ariel/boom lift, scissor lift).
- Perform regular safety audits and inspections, identifying hazards and ensuring corrective actions are completed.
- Maintain accurate records for training sessions, safety meetings, incidents, and audits.
- Assist with incident investigations, root cause analysis, and development of preventive measures.
- Support the overall management and execution of the company’s safety program.
Additional Responsibilities
- Assist branch managers with vehicle maintenance oversight and coordination with repair vendors.
- Maintain a complete vehicle and equipment inventory, including condition, location, and assigned driver.
- Ensure fleet compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Manage the Samsara camera program and support accident reporting, investigations, and insurance claims.
- Analyze fleet and accident data to identify trends and develop strategies to reduce risk and cost.
Requirement/Qualifications
- Ability to travel up to 80% of the time (domestic)
- Prior experience in safety, risk management, or compliance, ideally within construction industry strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and general safety standards
- Ability to conduct incident investigations and support root-cause analysis
- Bachelor’s degree with a Environmental Health Safety required
Salary and Working Environment
- $75,000-$90,000 depending work history and experience
