PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

 

The Project Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating all phases of construction projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This includes managing in-house teams, subcontractors, vendors, and material deliveries, while proactively addressing issues, maintaining compliance with safety regulations, and keeping senior leadership informed of progress and challenges.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Managing in house Superintendents
  • Development of project schedules, scheduling subs and coordinating deliveries of all owners supplied materials and items.
  • Obtaining/reviewing on-site Superintendents daily reports and photos
    • Review weekly video walkthroughs of each jobsite
  • Identifying any pending issues and/or problems and taking corrective action(s)
  • Subcontract scopes and contract enforcement
  • Producing a punch list with the owner and on-site Superintendent
  • 2 Week Lookahead and schedule adherence
  • Writing P.O.’s for National Vendors
  • Jobsite Safety 
  • 5 visits to each jobsite during length of project 
  • Reporting any issues to the Director of Construction/COO in a timely and thorough manner
  • Reviewing all projects on a weekly basis with the Director of Construction/COO
  • Ensuring high quality and on-time project as well as all other required tasks and duties

SUPERVISION OF PERSONNEL:

  • Superintendent
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • Minimum of 5 years as Project Manager for a General Contractor in retail/commercial
  • Minimum of 5 years commercial/retail construction
  • Must have experience leading and managing a team of superintendents, and subcontractors
    • Provide guidance, direction, and support to ensure effective collaboration and achievement of project objectives
  • OSHA30: 1 year
