Site Manager (Mechanical & Plumbing Construction)

W.G./Welch Mechanical Contractors LLC is seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of mechanical and plumbing construction projects from start to finish. This is a critical leadership role responsible for safety, quality, schedule, cost control, and client satisfaction on the job site.

What You’ll Do
As the Site Manager, you will serve as the single point of accountability on the job site and act as the company’s representative to clients, vendors, subcontractors, and inspectors. Key responsibilities include:
- Take full ownership of construction operations from project start-up through closeout
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional job site at all times
- Lead field personnel by example; supervise, train, coach, and mentor crews
- Ensure quality workmanship, code compliance, and timely completion of punch lists
- Drive BIM coordination and scheduling from preconstruction through installation
- Plan material procurement in advance to meet CPM schedule requirements
- Monitor productivity, manpower loading, cost control, forecasting, and job costing
- Track delays, extra work, and change orders in accordance with contract requirements
- Coordinate testing, inspections, and all required documentation
- Maintain accurate daily reports, look-aheads, and project records
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety concerns with immediate reporting
- Communicate effectively with project management, scheduling, and operations teams
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience managing mechanical and/or plumbing construction projects
- Strong understanding of BIM coordination, CPM schedules, and LEAN construction
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Knowledge of cost estimating, productivity tracking, and manpower planning
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer and organizational skills
- Commitment to safety, professionalism, and quality craftsmanship
Work Environment & Schedule
- Construction site environment with exposure to varying conditions
- Full-time schedule, typically Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM
- Occasional Saturdays or extended hours as required by project demands
