Typical Responsibilities (Depending on Role)
- Perform grade checking and layout in accordance with plans and specifications
- Supervise and coordinate grading crews to meet production, quality, and schedule goals
- Safely operate heavy equipment on large-scale civil projects
- Read and interpret civil drawings, profiles, and mass grading plans
- Work closely with surveyors, superintendents, and project managers
- Maintain compliance with safety regulations and company policies
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in heavy civil, grading, roadway, or infrastructure projects
- Proficiency with grade stakes, laser levels, and/or GPS machine control systems
- Strong understanding of cut/fill, slopes, and tolerances
- Commitment to safety and quality workmanship
- Valid driver’s license (if applicable)
