Location:

This Role is site-based at KSM Mine, Hwy 37, BC. Camp accommodations and transportation to the site are provided by Seabridge Gold from Terrace, BC. This position operates on a 14x14 day rotational schedule.

Position Overview:

The Site Services Facilities Lead is responsible for the management and oversight of all construction camps, site facilities, and associated operational support services on the KSM Project. The role ensures that site facilities and service support contracts are planned, operated, and managed in alignment with project objectives, approved scopes, schedules, budgets, and health, safety, security, and environmental requirements. The position works closely with the Facilities Manager, HSS Manager, Construction Manager and Warehouse lead, as well as external vendors, contractors, subcontractors, and consultants engaged to support camp and site operations.

  • Lead the Site Wide Services (SWS) team, overseeing daily operations, scheduling, resource allocation, and task prioritization.
  • Promote and maintain a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with corporate, regulatory, and KSM environmental policies. Facilitate safety meetings and ensure incidents, hazards, and near-misses are reported and addressed.
  • Oversee the operation, maintenance, and safe use of all KSM facilities, tools, equipment, and inventories to ensure they are fully functional and compliant with project requirements.
  • Develop and implement long-term facilities plans, including preventive maintenance programs and strategic initiatives to improve service efficiency.
  • Manage and supervise contractors, vendors, and subcontractors, including performance monitoring, risk assessments, compliance, and alignment with operational and safety standards.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve operational issues across camp services, infrastructure, utilities, and mobile equipment.
  • Implement corrective or remedial actions as required and ensure adherence to KSM change management processes.
  • Assist with sourcing strategies, installation, and commissioning of project camps and facilities.
  • Manage staff training, coaching, mentorship, and performance reviews, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, residents, and internal stakeholders, addressing feedback and ensuring service, cleanliness, and facility standards are met.
  • Ensure timely submission and review of contractor reports, KPIs, and other performance metrics.
  • Assist in staff competency evaluations, including training on remote camp operations and equipment use.
  • Perform other duties as required to support project delivery and organizational objectives.

Education, Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will bring a proven track record of operational leadership, safety-focused management, and remote camp operations, supported by the following qualifications, skills, and experience:

  • Technical diploma in construction, recognised trade qualification, or equivalent practical experience in camp maintenance and site services operations.
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience managing remote camp maintenance and operations, preferably within mining or heavy industrial environments.
  • Strong knowledge of remote camp operations, off-grid facilities, and service support delivery.
  • Demonstrated experience supervising camp maintenance personnel and managing day-to-day site services activities.
  • Proven experience managing vendor, contractor, and service support contracts, including performance and quality oversight.
  • Strong understanding of health, safety, security, and environmental requirements applicable to camp and site operations.
  • Field-based experience working closely with site, construction, and HSS teams to support uninterrupted operations.
  • Proven ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve operational issues across accommodation, utilities, waste, fuel, and camp infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, make sound decisions, and delegate effectively in an operational environment.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships.
  • High standards of professional and ethical conduct.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Experience working in cross-cultural environments and on large-scale mining or infrastructure operations.
